FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 7th 2026
The Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast is please to endorse the Captain Sandy’s Charities “Boating Capital of the World” license plate initiative. Through pre-sales and ongoing production, the proceeds of the plates will help fund marine training, exposure, advocacy and education to trainees both on land and at sea.
“This is the first state-wide effort to restart the marine industries pipeline of workers”, says MIATC Executive Director Rob Mac Keen. “Not only is the plate a good looking design, it applies everywhere in Florida, whether its Pensacola, Orlando, Miami or cities in the Treasure Coast. From PWCs to megayachts, Florida is the most dynamic environment for boating big and small.”
The plate is currently in pre-order, but people can reserve the plate at no cost here.
Driven by Bravo TV’s Captain Sandy Yawn and her team at Captain Sandy’s Charities, they’ve supported school age curriculum through Young Minds Inspired, currently being taught to millions of children.
