Stuart Boat Show is the regions ultimate marine events and has been for over 50 years! Held every January, the Stuart Boat Show hosts 200 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors over the course of 3 days.

The MIATC gets involved with a lot of school age kid education. Whether participating in the Fort Pierce Yacht Club “Chart Your Career” program, the Martin County School Education Roundtable, the Lucky Duck Race or Capt. Sandy’s Charities, the MIATC knows that the next generation of marine professionals start at an early age.

The bridge. Not the station!

The MIATC has taken an aggressive stance against the USCG and the US Army Corp of Engineers in recent years as it relates to the St. Lucie Bridge in Stuart. In partnership with other litigants, the MIATC is pleased with the regulation and schedule put forth for the bridge operation. It doesn’t always seem that the bridge is operating to that regulation, but its difficult to enforce.

That said, the St. Lucie rail bridge is the only piece of single-track left in Florida. The bridge is about 100 years old. The clearance restricts most boats trying to pass under it.

The MIATC has a 24/7 webcam looking at the bridge available on our website as well as a second camera only available to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

These resources, free to the public, are permanently supported by sponsors such as Oceanwide Electronics (IT), Hudson’s On the River (hosting & installation point), and Indiantown Marine Center, but additional sponsors are needed to support the costs of internet and additional cameras.

Note: The MIATC does not have a formal opinion on the oft disputed Stuart Brightline Station other than its placement should not require the bridge to be in the closed position when the train is in the station. This could be the case for the original designated location in downtown Stuart, according to FEC Railroad.

The MIATC does support the City/F.I.N.D. grant application made to fund the bridge replacement.

The Stuart Boat Show is owned by the MIATC and is the primary revenue source for all that the Association does throughout the year. Members to the Association that are interested in being an exhibitor are entitled up to a $500 discount on their exhibit space, excluding power, carpet, etc.

The Stuart Boat Show is growing year over year and is one of the major events within the City of Stuart, but it doesn’t happen without a lot of work. The MIATC always appreciates our producer, AllSports Productions as well as the support of the City of Stuart and Martin County Commissioners.

Member connections can drive your company faster than any marketing or social media ever could. There’s no better connection than to be introduced to another member in the same field as you are. The philosophy of the MIATC is that you should know who is complementary to your business as well as who is competitive.

You never know when you might need some help with something outside of your normal routine. If you know a member who can help, its an easy phone call to make.

Looking for some work? Being friendly with a competitive member might get you that referral you need.

Have too much work? Handing a project off to someone you already know and trust will keep that client appreciating your help in solving their problem.

Member events are casual, usually involve a cash bar, good music and a great way to network with other marine industry businesses.
