Mission
The MIATC Workforce Readiness Committee is dedicated to connecting employers to career candidates, career candidates to training programs, and training programs to students from all walks of life and all ages.
The Workforce Readiness Committee is building the future of the Treasure Coast’s marine industry—one career at a time. This committee forms strong partnerships with local educators and training institutions to develop a steady pipeline of well-prepared marine professionals. It proudly supports Indian River State College’s Advanced Manufacturing Marine Training School and the newly launched marine training program at the Chapman School of Seamanship, both of which are helping to modernize and expand technical skill development in the region.
The Committee is comprised of industry leaders, Association Board members, higher learning faculty and business development professionals.
Importantly, this initiative is made possible and funded through sponsorships, donations, and proceeds from other MIATC events and programs—ensuring that the marine community directly reinvests in its own future. From internships to apprenticeships, this committee connects stakeholders in the workforce development pipeline.
